Overview As a key member of Cetera’s Financial Planning & Analysis team, the Senior Financial Analyst will partner with key accounting, finance, and business unit stakeholders to support consolidated management reporting, revenue planning, external reporting, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting processes. This role has high exposure to leadership and is critical to our ability to plan for and report on overall business performance. This is a hybrid role; candidates must be located near an office hub: St Cloud, MN | San Diego, CA | El Segundo, CA.
Core Responsibilities
Drive revenue planning financial modeling and analysis efforts
Prepare presentation materials for Board of Director meetings, Earnings calls, and Internal Leadership meetings
Consolidate, research, and explain Actual vs. Budget financial variances each month
Assist in leading overall company Budget and Forecast processes
Develop strong understanding of key performance indicators and revenue drivers
Become a subject matter expert on our Oracle management reporting system, helping to drive improvements and efficiencies in our current reporting structures
Review and analyze P&L results before each accounting close to ensure accuracy
Develop excellent relationships with colleagues across the business to foster an effective cross-functional working environment and collaborative spirit
Collaborate with internal recruiting teams and channel leaders to support recruiting and renewal efforts for financial institution partners
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
3 - 5 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or business analysis role
Highly motivated with experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills
Ability to extract, manipulate, and turn large sets of data into actionable insights
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in the Financial Service industry
Demonstrated experience building financial models
Travel Requirements Requires very little to no travel (less than 5%).
Compensation The base annual salary range for this role is $62,000 - $92,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
