Position Details

This position will work in the community as assigned. Multiple positions available.
Hours:
Hours may vary based on building/program needs.
Reporting To:
Program Coordinator
Salary:
$16.00/hour
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent
Ability to work with children
Ability to communicate with parents and community members
Position Summary Responsible for providing one-on-one support to children with special needs, promoting safety, inclusion, and interaction as they access recreational activities in the community with their peers.
Essential Duties
Communicate directly with families to coordinate community activities
Provide support and modifications to facilitate participation
Promote safety, inclusion, and peer interaction
Support, discipline, and advocate for children
Communicate with parents and staff professionally
Complete required paperwork for each child
Report needs or issues to the program coordinator
Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Factors Frequent walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, and seeing.
