Overview

Job Title: Research Faculty - IM Immunology and Rheumatology - (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Department: Medicine | IM Immunology and Rheumatology Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) are professors, associate professors, assistant professors or instructors with appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned according to workload guidelines of the TIU and, as appropriate, regional campus. These faculty will have earned a doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field or equivalent experience. Responsibilities

Write and publish research in high-quality peer-reviewed scientific journals. Attend and present research at national and international conferences and develop a national and international scholarly reputation. Instruct and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents and fellow trainees. Participate in department, college, and university committees and initiatives. Conceptualize, plan, design, implement, and conduct research studies in rheumatic autoimmune diseases. Develop and write grant proposals to maintain funding for the research program; obtain and maintain NIH R01 or equivalent funding. Requirements

Doctoral degree in Immunology or related field (MD or MD/PhD). A strong track record of high-level publications. A strong track record of ongoing robust peer-reviewed research funding (NIH R01 or equivalent). Division overview
