Job Summary The Department of General Education at the University of West Georgia invites applications for part-time Instructors of Mathematics. The appointments will begin in Fall 2024 and may be renewed. The positions are contingent on funding and enrollment.
Responsibilities
Teach three to seven credit-hours of mathematics courses per semester in Carrollton, Newnan, Douglasville, and/or Heard County.
Primary modality is face-to-face; some sections may be hybrid or fully online.
Most students are dual-enrolled participating in the Go West Early program.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or a closely related field, or strong academic preparation in mathematics (at least 18 graduate-level credit hours in mathematics).
Eligible for employment in the United States at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
Passion for teaching lower-division mathematics courses.
Experience in college-level teaching and knowledge of technology applications in mathematics classrooms.
Prior teaching experience and a demonstrated commitment to student success.
Required Documents
Letter of application summarizing interest and qualifications.
Current curriculum vitae.
