Open Rank Faculty Position in Kinesiology
The Kinesiology Department at UNC Greensboro is seeking an innovative scholar in Kinesiology with interest and experience in graduate education to take a major role in our Doctor of Education (EdD) in Kinesiology program. The EdD in KIN is an online cohort-based, interdisciplinary degree program tailored to meet the needs of professionals in kinesiology. Primary responsibilities include teaching, advising, and supervision of dissertations in the EdD program, maintaining an active line of research, and engaging in departmental, professional, and university service activities. Minimum Qualifications: The candidate should demonstrate the skills and potential for teaching and mentoring doctoral students focused on professional scholarship and practice from an applied, interdisciplinary perspective. The candidate should also have a demonstrated record of nationally recognized scholarship (full or associate professor) or potential for establishing a prominent line of scholarship (assistant professor). The candidate must hold an earned doctorate degree in kinesiology or related area. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates should bring a broad perspective of the field to support the EdD students and to expand on the expertise of the current program faculty. Individuals with one or more of the following additional qualifications are encouraged to apply: experience with survey or experimental methods, as well as action-oriented or community engaged research methods in kinesiology; experience mentoring doctoral students and/or kinesiology practitioners; experience teaching online courses.
