is seeking an

Executive Chef

to lead the culinary operation at this luxurious Waldorf Astoria property in New Orleans. As the centerpiece of the city, this historic hotel has 504 rooms and 5 food and beverage outlets. In this role you will oversee all 3 kitchens which service 60,000 square feet of banquet space, Fountain Lounge, In-Room Dining, Teddy's Cafe, and the seasonal Rooftop Bar. We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef with strong leadership skills, a talent for building teams, and a passion for creating unique experiences and delivering excellence to each and every guest. Responsibilities

Direct and oversee all culinary operations including production of all hotel meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with safety and sanitation standards and regulations, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls, and overall profitability. Create and implement new menus and menu items for outlets based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with the Director of Food and Beverage. Interact with guests and clients to monitor satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues, and make improvements accordingly. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. Perform general management duties including systems management, budget and forecasting, report generation, department management, and meeting participation and facilitation. Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, professional development, scheduling, counseling, evaluations, and recognition. Recruit, interview, and train team members. Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities with a track record of delivering guest-focused culinary excellence. Strong menu development experience aligned with current trends and regional tastes. Experience in large-scale culinary operations, banquet and outlet management, and cost controls. Ability to interact with guests, assess satisfaction, and implement improvements. Knowledge of federal, state, local health and safety regulations and alcohol awareness standards.
