ACCEL Schools ACCEL Schools is seeking highly-qualified Intervention Specialists at Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School in Cleveland, Ohio dedicated to providing a superior education for all students. The Intervention Specialist supports the educational and behavioral goals of all students with a focus on students with an Individualized Education Program. Responsibilities include working cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities of students, assisting in classroom intervention strategies, modifying general education curriculum as necessary, conducting diagnostic and functional behavior assessments, writing and implementing behavior improvement plans, facilitating IEP meetings and writing IEP goals and objectives, working to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture, utilizing research-based best practices, integrating culturally responsive teaching practices, serving as advisor for a designated set of students, communicating regularly with families, participating in non-instructional activities, and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements include current state license, knowledge of State and Common Core Standards, experience in inclusion or co-teaching models, comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment, strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to work independently and in a team, ability to pass federal and state background checks, and preferred experience in a multi-cultural setting.
