An opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to work in a K-12 setting in Bloomington, IL. This role is essential in supporting student success and well-being through psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services. Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention strategies. Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to ensure appropriate support plans are in place for students. Stay informed of best practices and regulatory changes related to school psychology and special education.
Qualifications
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field. Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting is preferred. Strong assessment skills and the ability to interpret psychological data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, staff, and families.
