School Bus Driver – No Exp Needed – Training Provided. Location: Wilton Center, CT. Salary range: $33.74 - $38.28 per hour. 1 month ago posting. Our training program equips you to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) and related endorsements, learn company policies, and progress to a Professional Driver role upon successful completion. Responsibilities
Provide safe and reliable transportation by operating a school bus or other vehicle on a fixed or changing route. Maintain high ethical standards and integrity; report suspicious or inappropriate behavior to your supervisor. Report for duty on time and maintain on-time routes in a safe manner. Physically assist passengers during evacuation in emergencies. Immediately report accidents or incidents per Company policy. Follow Company Policy regarding student and passenger management. Inform appropriate personnel of problems or procedures. Present a neat and professional appearance at all times. Complete and submit all required paperwork (route changes, time cards, vehicle repair requests) in a timely manner. Maintain a cooperative attitude with colleagues, customers, and passengers to promote company goodwill. Safely operate vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios, and emergency equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Paratransit Driver duties may apply per location. Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age; for Tennessee drivers, at least 25 per state law. Must possess or be able to obtain valid applicable state licenses and certifications to operate company vehicles. Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; safety-sensitive position with random testing per policy. Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training. Must practice defensive driving and maintain safe work habits. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract driver requirements.
