As the Executive Chef,
you will oversee kitchen operations at a senior living facility, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment. You will prepare or supervise meal preparation in line with corporate programs and guidelines. This role is ideal for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional. Key Responsibilities:
Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines Follow standardized recipes, portioning, presentation standards, and complete daily production worksheets and waste logs. Taste meals to ensure quality. Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, food safety, and sanitation per company and regulatory standards Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas Maintain inventory of food and supplies within guidelines, ensuring necessary products are available Make decisions regarding leftover food utilization within company guidelines Comply with health and sanitation regulations, evidenced through audits Follow safety policies and participate in departmental meetings and professional development Preferred Qualifications:
A.S. or equivalent experience 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience Extensive catering experience is a plus Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations Institutional and batch cooking experience Hands-on chef experience required Knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet use Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs ServSafe certification is highly desirable Apply to Unidine today!
