Join our innovative team providing comprehensive psychological services to students across New Mexico's virtual learning environments. We're seeking an experienced School Psychologist to deliver critical mental health and educational support through secure online platforms.
Position Structure
This remote opportunity offers 35.5 hours per week serving approximately 44 students spanning all grade levels from early elementary through high school transition programs. You'll provide psychological evaluations, counseling services, and behavioral consultation through virtual platforms while fostering supportive relationships essential to student wellbeing.
Psychological Service Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations using virtual assessment protocols Provide individual and group counseling services through secure teletherapy platforms Implement crisis intervention protocols and develop safety planning procedures Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive student support services Develop social-emotional learning interventions and provide behavioral consultation Facilitate virtual family counseling sessions and parent education programs Maintain accurate documentation of psychological services and ensure regulatory compliance
Clinical Population Focus
Your caseload will include students requiring psychological evaluations for special education eligibility determination, crisis mental health interventions, trauma-informed therapeutic support, and ongoing counseling for anxiety, depression, and behavioral adjustment challenges. You'll serve learners from elementary through transition-age programs with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Required Credentials
Master's degree in School Psychology from NASP-approved program Active New Mexico School Psychologist license Two years minimum experience providing psychological services in educational environments Proven ability to conduct virtual assessments and deliver effective teletherapy services Experience with crisis intervention protocols and suicide risk assessment procedures Strong knowledge of special education law and psychoeducational evaluation processes Excellent clinical judgment and ethical decision-making capabilities
Virtual Clinical Environment
This position requires expertise in online psychological assessment, digital therapy platforms, and virtual crisis intervention procedures.
