Make a direct impact on student success through expert psychological evaluations in our innovative remote education setting. We''re recruiting a dedicated school psychologist whose primary focus will be conducting comprehensive assessments that guide educational decision-making and support student achievement.
Role Overview This virtual position centers on delivering high-quality psychological evaluations for a caseload of approximately 40-55 students, working 36 hours weekly. You''ll specialize in assessment services that directly influence IEP development, educational placements, and intervention strategies across diverse student populations and grade levels.
Primary Evaluation Functions
Perform comprehensive psychological evaluations for special education eligibility
Conduct cognitive assessments to determine intellectual functioning and processing abilities
Complete academic achievement testing to identify learning strengths and challenges
Execute behavioral and emotional assessments for comprehensive student profiles
Prepare detailed evaluation reports with clear recommendations for educational programming
Present findings during multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP conferences
Ensure all evaluations meet state and federal compliance requirements
Specialized Assessment Services
Learning disability evaluations including processing disorder assessments
Autism spectrum disorder comprehensive evaluations using gold-standard instruments
ADHD assessments incorporating multiple data sources and environments
Intellectual disability evaluations for educational eligibility determination
Emotional disturbance assessments including trauma-informed approaches
Gifted and talented evaluations for advanced academic programming
Transition assessments for post-secondary planning and adult services
Required Credentials And Experience
Master''s degree in School Psychology from NASP-approved program
Valid New Mexico School Psychologist licensure
2+ years of school-based evaluation experience
Demonstrated competency in psychological assessment and interpretation
Strong background in special education law and evaluation procedures
Experience with remote assessment technologies and virtual service delivery
Excellent report writing abilities with clear, actionable recommendations
Cultural competency in working with diverse student populations
Technology and Equipment
High-speed internet for reliable video conferencing and assessment platforms
Professional home office environment suitable for confidential evaluations
Current assessment materials and digital scoring platforms
Secure data management systems for student confidentiality
