The College is seeking full-time, tenure-track faculty members qualified to teach clinical and didactic courses for a traditional 4-year baccalaureate nursing program with expertise in any of the following areas - mental health, critical care, medical/surgical, community health, maternal health and nursing fundamentals. For each of the nursing practice areas above, the faculty member is expected to engage in teaching, scholarship and service. Faculty are expected to use diverse and evidence based teaching strategies such as lectures, case based learning, active learning strategies, competency education and simulations to support learning as it relates to general nursing concepts and skills and practice area concepts and skills as appropriate. Faculty contribute to the development and continuation of a quality nursing program by engaging in activities such as curriculum development and revision, student and program assessment, student advising, student recruitment activities. Faculty are also expected to serve on committees, participate in professional organizations and produce scholarly work such as publications, presentations and research. Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of nursing teaching experience. Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD or DNP) preferred. Master’s degree in nursing is required. Current clinical experience; national certification in specialty area of focus is preferred. Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York or eligibility for RN licensure in New York state. Minimum of 2 years of Experience teaching baccalaureate nursing students. Preference will be provided to candidates who demonstrate scholarship (e.g., publications, national presentations) and active participation in professional organizations. Application Process
