HPE’s Private Cloud AI organization is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to support our AI Essentials product. AI Essentials is a software solution within HPE’s Private Cloud AI platform designed to accelerate AI productivity and streamline AI operations. You will be expected to tackle difficult problems, design and build solutions, and iterate until we achieve elegant outcomes that delight customers. You will work in a supportive and collaborative environment and contribute across the stack based on your interests and experience. Responsibilities

Architect, design, and develop highly scalable and resilient AI Essentials platform features and solutions, focusing on cloud-native principles Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues spanning Kubernetes, servers, storage, networking, and cloud domains Design and develop backup/restore strategies for AI Essentials platform use-cases Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster technical excellence and continuous improvement Qualifications and Skills

Expert level proficiency in Linux and Kubernetes platform architectures Experience with Kubernetes storage design/architectures (CSI, Persistent Volumes) Deep understanding of backup/restore technologies Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities Strong knowledge of container architectures including Docker and Cri-o (preferred) Experience with virtualization (VMware/KVM) Expert level proficiency with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) Knowledge of distributed systems and microservice design Knowledge of Kubernetes CNI Experience and Education

Minimum of 12 years of experience in Software Engineering Degree in Computer Science or related field Employment Details

The expected salary range for a U.S.-based hire is USD 148,000.00 to 340,500.00 per year. Offers may vary by location, experience, education, and skill level.
