Doco Engineering Inc. – Automation & CNC Manufacturing About the Company
Doco Engineering Inc.
is a growing automation and precision manufacturing company located in Red Bluff, California. Led by owner and engineer Doug Pientak, who brings over 25 years of experience across electrical, PLC, and mechanical systems, Doco specializes in designing and building high-tech machines and precision parts for the automation industry. Our CNC shop can handle both large production runs and custom one-off projects, using Haas mills and lathes with WPS probing systems to streamline setups and maximize efficiency. Doco was recognized by Xometry for Excellence in Manufacturing with 100% accuracy and 100% on-time delivery. At Doco, we believe in teamwork, craftsmanship, and doing things right the first time. About the Position
We’re seeking a motivated CNC Programmer / Operator who wants to grow in a high-tech, hands-on manufacturing environment. You’ll work on complex, dynamic parts used in automation systems, using Autodesk Fusion 360 to program CNC mills and lathes. We’re located in a lower cost-of-living area of Northern California, making this an excellent opportunity for machinists seeking great work-life balance and competitive pay. If you’re an experienced CNC professional — or an up-and-coming machinist eager to learn — this role offers strong mentorship and training from our Master Machinist onsite. Key Responsibilities
Program CNC machines using Fusion 360 (primarily 2.5D programming). Analyze engineering drawings and work orders to create accurate CNC programs. Select proper tooling, fixturing, speeds, and feeds for various materials. Optimize tool paths for maximum efficiency and precision. Perform first article inspections and maintain part quality throughout production. Collaborate with engineering and production on new product development. Apply math, geometry, and logic to create variable-based programs. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing or CNC machining environment. Proficient with Autodesk Fusion 360 (or similar CAD/CAM software). Experience with Haas CNC mills and lathes; Y-axis experience preferred but not required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Self-motivated and eager to learn from a Master Machinist and experienced team. Why Join Doco Engineering?
Competitive pay: $25–$50/hr DOE Training and mentorship from a Master Machinist Lower cost of living in Northern California Work on high-tech automation systems and dynamic parts Award-winning shop recognized for precision and reliability Supportive, family-like culture focused on quality and growth Ready to join a growing automation team where precision meets innovation?
