Overview
IT Systems Administrator for AI and Infrastructure Department/Branch: Corporate IT Reports to: VP of IT FLSA Status: Exempt Work Schedule: Full-time Locations: DAS Corporate HQ Position Summary
The IT AI and Infrastructure Systems Administrator will focus on managing core infrastructure while integrating and supporting AI technologies, especially Microsoft Copilot. Key Objectives
AI integration and support Infrastructure management Networking Cloud and security Automation and scripting Containerization and orchestration Operational support Areas of Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Copilot across enterprise applications. Collaborate with IT leadership to identify AI use cases and optimize workflows. Provide technical support and training for Copilot usage across departments. Implement and monitor AI security protocols to ensure safe and compliant use of AI technologies. Administer Microsoft Windows Server environments hosted virtually. Manage and maintain Linux servers to support enterprise operations. Maintain Active Directory in a hybrid environment with Azure AD, including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects. Design, implement, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks. Configure firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, ACLs, and routing protocols. Support and maintain next-generation (NG) firewalls. Work with zero trust security systems to enforce identity-based access and segmentation. Administer Microsoft Azure and Intune environments. Implement IT security protocols including system hardening, encryption, and MFA. Ensure compliance with GLBA and NIST standards. Develop and maintain scripts for automation and system tasks using PowerShell, Python, Go, and C#. Support Office 365 Admin Center and integration with cloud services. Demonstrate familiarity with container technologies such as Docker. Work with Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration and environment management. Provide AV and conference room support. Assist with printer networking and VOIP systems. Participate in on-call support as needed. Job Requirements
Broad Knowledge & Experience Proven experience as a AI and Infrastructure Systems Administrator or similar role. Above Average Skills Strong knowledge in networking, server environments, cloud platforms, and IT security with a passion for emerging AI tools. Demonstrated Ability
Prompt engineering: Ability to craft effective prompts for AI tools like Copilot. Data literacy: Understanding how to interpret and visualize data outputs from AI systems. Change management: Experience guiding teams through tech adoption and digital transformation. DevOps familiarity: Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC). AI governance awareness: Understanding of ethical AI use, data privacy, and responsible deployment. Competencies
