Manager, IT – UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking a professional-level IAM IT Manager to join Infrastructure and Communication Technology (ICT), a unit within UFIT. Employment with UFIT provides an opportunity to work with colleagues dedicated to understanding and interpreting the University of Florida’s technology needs. The Identity & Access Management (IAM) IT Manager provides technical leadership for the IAM team. This position is responsible for architecting, operating, and maintaining the UF IAM infrastructure with a solid understanding of IAM concepts, identity governance, directory services, authentication and authorization systems in a higher education environment. Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to the IAM team to ensure highly available and reliable identity & access management systems. Design, implement, and manage IAM infrastructure components. Design and implement automated workflows to maintain the availability and reliability of critical systems. Collaborate with various stakeholders to improve workloads and develop innovative solutions to current challenges. Research new technologies and assist in business-case development for future initiatives. Qualifications
Minimum requirements: Master's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience; or an associate's degree and six years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience, but does not negate the minimum degree requirements. Preferred: The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills: Advanced technical knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems Advanced technical knowledge of container technology (Docker) with orchestration tools (Kubernetes) Technical knowledge of SAML and OpenID Connect (OIDC) Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages such as Python and/or PowerShell, with Git Experience with infrastructure orchestration tools (Terraform) and version control (Git) Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana) Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and building SQL queries Familiarity with API management tools Familiarity with messaging platforms (RabbitMQ) Familiarity with managing Active Directory, Shibboleth, Grouper, and Duo MFA infrastructure Familiarity with code development methodologies, testing, and debugging Salary and Benefits
