The Department of History at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time and tenure-earning Assistant Professor position in U.S. Public History with a start date of August 7, 2026. Salary is negotiable. Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in History is required and must be conferred by appointment start date. We welcome applications from those with experience or interest in community-engaged practice and/or oral history. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor. Preferred candidates will have university-level teaching experience and scholarly publications.
