Overview

Applications are being accepted for a 12-month Doctoral Capstone Coordinator (DCC), Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor position in the Occupational Therapy department at the University of New England (UNE), in Portland, Maine. The DCC will create, implement, and oversee capstone experiences in compliance with the Accreditation for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) D Standards and will be defined as a core faculty member. The position includes recruiting, developing, and sustaining community partnerships with capstone sites and advising students through the capstone process, including capstone development and implementation. The DCC will work closely with the Program Director and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, completing program evaluation and assessment of outcomes as part of the capstone collaboration. The role includes teaching, course development, scholarship, and service responsibilities. The successful candidate will have experience in curricular development, mentoring, advising, and supervising students, strong communication skills, and the ability to organize and manage higher-level administrative tasks. Candidates should also have recent experience with learner-centered teaching, a strong interest in interprofessional education, and the ability to teach courses across the UNE OT curriculum. Responsibilities

Create, implement, and oversee capstone experiences in alignment with ACOTE D Standards. Recruit, develop, and sustain community partnerships with capstone sites. Advise students through the capstone process, including capstone development and implementation. Collaborate with the Program Director and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator on program evaluation and outcome assessment related to capstone activities. Contribute to teaching, course development, scholarship, and service within the OT program. Demonstrate experience in curricular development, mentoring, advising, supervising students, and strong administrative capabilities. Apply learner-centered teaching approaches, support interprofessional education, and teach across the UNE OT curriculum. Qualifications

Experience in curricular development, mentoring, advising, and supervising students. Strong communication skills and ability to manage higher-level administrative tasks.
