Overview
We are seeking a motivated Ag/Commercial Lender to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong agricultural knowledge and a passion for helping producers and local businesses succeed. The lender will be trained in credit analysis, loan structuring, and portfolio management while actively developing customer relationships. Community involvement, initiative, and a desire to learn the lending process are key to success. This position could be a great opportunity for a recent college grad or someone with an ag background wanting to transition into banking, as well as experienced ag lenders.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and service an agricultural heavy loan portfolio.
Apply bank policies, procedures, and credit standards.
Support senior lenders in structuring and underwriting loan requests.
Participate in business development efforts, including prospect calls and community engagement.
Provide superior customer service by responding to customer needs and maintaining regular contact.
Promote the full range of the bank’s products and services to meet customer needs.
Actively participate in community and agricultural events to represent the bank.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Abilities
Strong agricultural background or education (farm/ranch experience highly valued).
Desire to work with the public and build long-term customer relationships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to learn banking systems.
Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
Professional demeanor and eagerness to grow into a lending role.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness, finance, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
Previous banking or lending experience helpful but not required.
Agricultural experience and knowledge required.
Commitment to community involvement and long-term career growth in banking.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $100,000 per year
Compensation: Willing to compete
