Overview
The Consolidations and Reporting Analyst will be a key contributor to the closing process. This includes assisting the corporate consolidation financial close process, managing the intercompany elimination and reconciliation process, coordinating the collection of quarterly schedules, performing flux analysis and providing adequate support and explanations of drivers, preparing timely consolidated financial statements, and developing and maintaining effective internal controls around the consolidation and close process. This position is involved in the drafting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of Covetrus. Additionally, this role will assist in other significant projects under the supervision of the Manager, Consolidations & Reporting.
Responsibilities
Assist with the global monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
Prepare journal entries, roll-forwards, and support schedules integral to completion of the company’s financial statements and footnotes
Reconciliation of intercompany and investment in subsidiary and other related transactions
Analyze the impact of foreign currency translation on the financial statements
Assist with the maintenance of the global chart of accounts
Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and automation for efficiency
Assist with annual audits conducted by external auditors
Strong understanding and application of US GAAP on all major accounting areas and ensure compliance of processes to GAAP
Demonstrate and maintain a positive customer service focus to both internal and external customers
SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation and providing recommendations as appropriate
Assist in special projects and other reporting needs as required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related degree
CPA or CPA track required, MBA a plus
Strong understanding and application of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
3+ years of relevant experience including 2+ years in consolidation, financial reporting, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, and multi-currency/FX
Strong understanding of general ledger and consolidations systems, including how to best organize metadata
Experience with financial consolidation systems required; Oracle Cloud EPM FCCS experience a plus
Public accounting/audit experience a plus
Familiarity with multi-entity structures, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency translation
Effective at building strong relationships
Works effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines

Salary Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
However, the pay range for this position is as follows. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive
$67,100.00-$95,800.00
