We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee financial and accounting operations for our construction company. This role ensures accurate reporting, compliance, and provides financial insights that drive profitability and project success. Key Responsibilities
Oversee AP/AR, payroll, GL, and financial reporting. Manage job costing, WIP schedules, and project profitability. Lead budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax, and bonding requirements. Oversee project billings (AIA), change orders, and subcontractor compliance. Partner with project managers and executives. Supervise and develop accounting staff. Coordinate audits and external advisors. Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA/CMA preferred) 7+ years of accounting/finance experience; construction required Knowledge of job costing, WIP, retainage, and AIA billings. ERP/accounting systems (Spectrum, Sage 300 CRE). Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Compensation & Benefits
