Postdoctoral Fellow - Laboratory of Dr. Shika Ramanan
The Ramanan lab aims to understand how immune cells influence mammary gland health during pregnancy and lactation. Our multi-disciplinary approach uses single-cell techniques, metabolomics, and metagenomics in mouse models to study how immune cell changes in the mammary gland during pregnancy and lactation can impact maternal health.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and independent postdoctoral fellow interested in studying how immune cells interact with epithelial cells in the mammary gland during pregnancy and lactation. The project will involve working with mouse models of injury and infection. The ideal candidate will be an immunologist with expertise in tissue immunology, specifically T cells, and/or epithelial cell biology, and experience with mouse models. Ideal candidates should be intellectually curious, highly productive, driven to uncover new biology, and enjoy working in a committed and diverse team.
Application Instructions:
Applicants should submit a current resume, a list of pre-prints and publications, names of three references, and an indication of how their expertise and academic accomplishments make them a good fit for the position.
What We Are Looking For
Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology or related fields
What We Can Offer The full postdoctoral salary range for wet lab opportunities is $70,000-$77,500. This range covers the entire postdoctoral training period; recent Ph.D. graduates should expect an offer at or close to $70,000 (minimum of the salary range).
The Salk Institute provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the Institute reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as scope and responsibilities, qualifications, departmental budget, internal equity, location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
