Minimum Qualifications
Education/Training: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (certified through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board).
Experience: Two years’ experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities; specialized training and/or experience in basic applied behavior principles including plan implementation, data collection, behavior interventions/replacement behaviors, and risk identification/amelioration.
Continuing Education: Documented completion of 10 hours of annual training related to behavior supports offered through courses, seminars, or conferences and/or training provided by relevant departments.
Responsibilities
Models and trains staff in the principles and practice of Positive Behavior Support methodology.
Serves as a member of Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs) providing expertise regarding behavioral issues.
Responsible for Behavior Plan assessment, design, training, monitoring, and reporting.
Conducts descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and provides behavior analytic interpretations of the results.
Provides direct behavioral treatment to clients via replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, group and individual behavioral treatment, and/or skills coaching in applicable settings.
Participates in on-call rotation for behavior issues.
Monitors restraint use and provides training to reduce.
Monitors challenging behavior.
Participates in Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee and other relevant committees, as assigned.
Provides individualized services to meet the treatment needs of specialty intermediate care (IC) clinic patients in accordance with applicable regulations.
Learn and follow all policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and good judgment in applying instructions and solving problems.
Physical Demands: Ability to participate in and demonstrate knowledge of approved crisis management procedures.
Work Environment: Adaptability to work in various environments with reasonable accommodations as needed.
Education: Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline. BCBA certification is required.
Computer Skills/Data Entry: Ability to record/enter data neatly, accurately, and objectively; consistent with organizational requirements.
Additional Information
Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and licensed in Missouri.
Salary Range: USD $50.00 - $60.00 / Hour
