Tax – Business Tax Services- Private Tax High Net Worth Individuals – Senior EY Private Tax is a growing practice within EY, and you’ll see that growth reflected in your career. The team focuses on serving privately held companies and their owners and families, spanning from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies. These clients are high growth private companies, with many choosing not to go public. This presents an exciting mix of start-up through multi-billion-dollar global private enterprises. You’ll work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects as part of a growing global team, acting as a key point of contact for clients and colleagues, and collaborating across cross-border and cross-functional teams. EY provides support to develop your technical tax knowledge, leadership, and business acumen. Your Key Responsibilities Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies Translating complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables Building effective long-term relationships with our clients, understanding their unique needs to provide a tailored service Communicating complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients Maintaining your reputation in your field by constantly updating and sharing your technical and finest practice knowledge Reviewing work of more junior team members Identifying and reacting to risks and opportunities to improve our services and processes Skills And Attributes For Success To qualify for the role, you must have A bachelor’s degree in a related field, supported by significant tax, business or financial planning experience Have obtained or have active progress towards a CPA certification or membership in The Bar Minimum of 2 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation Experience with flow through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs) A thorough understanding of automated tax processing systems Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment Ideally, you’ll also have A proven record in a professional services environment Strong analytical skills and attention to detail The ability to adapt your work style to work with both internal and client team members Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and the confidence to challenge colleagues and stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds A commitment to continuing your learning What We Look For We’re interested in tax professionals with a genuine interest in providing outstanding services to some of the world’s most influential people. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $82,000 to $135,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $98,500 to $153,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
