TOPCON Facility Centre in Italy – Concordia sulla Secchia (MO) The job can be performed 100% remote (Italy) with visit to our Concordia office once a week
Job Purpose
Software quality engineer for testing web applications and services. Developing automated tests using Python and Playwright. Analysis of test results. Tight cooperation with developers and PM (requirements clarification, use cases).
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts, including documenting test cases with test steps, expected results, and actual results. Analyze test results and report defects and bugs using a bug tracking tool, including detailed steps to reproduce the issue. Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing, including load and stress testing. Provide feedback on software quality and make recommendations for improvements, including identifying and tracking software defects and issues. Inspect web browser console messages to understand and detect potential errors, and follow network activity to determine if issues are frontend or backend. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, user stories, and use cases, and provide feedback on feasibility. Create and maintain automated test scripts using a testing tool like Playwright. Maintain test data and test environments to support testing activities. Participate in code reviews to ensure code meets quality standards for automated tests. Contribute to creating an inspiring team environment with open communication.
Education, Skills, and Attributes
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field. At least
2 years of relevant experience in software testing and automation . Technical skills - automation testing and knowledge of testing tools: Jira, TestRail. Programming: Python, TypeScript, JS, HTML. General skills – Attention to detail, problem solving, analytical thinking, communication, and adaptability.
