The opportunity
Delaware North Travel is hiring an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at Fort Lauderdale Airport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the management team to ensure high standards of service, quality, and efficiency across all outlets. You will help oversee daily operations, support inventory management, assist with training, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. The sale is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2025. Upon completion of the sale, all THS team members will become part of the Areas. Areas will operate 369 locations in 27 airports and 12 travel plazas nationwide, with a U.S. workforce of over 6,000. Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $43,888 – $54,100 / year In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures Maintain positive guest relations and high standards of service to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction Support the Restaurant General Manager in training, motivating, and developing team members to maintain high performance and professionalism Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering and inventory, and oversee scheduling, payroll, and point of sale systems Monitor and enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations More about you
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant or hospitality industry, with a strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service standards Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, health regulations, and safety procedures Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills Proficient computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and point of sale systems Ability to obtain ServSafe, Food Safety Handler, and Training for Intervention Procedures certifications Capacity to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business levels Shift details
