Overview
The Analyst of Financial Planning, Yum! Digital & Technology, will play a critical role in supporting the overall FP&A activities for the fast-growing Yum! Digital & Technology division. This role requires strong analytical, organizational, and oral/written communication skills, and attention to detail. Headcount Planning (50%)
Ownership of Yum D&T’s consolidated headcount planning tools for FTEs and Contractors (salaries, bonus, benefits, capex rates, etc.) Ongoing headcount planning tool maintenance to reflect organizational updates (hiring, exits, transfers, etc.) with additional scrutiny during quarterly financial submissions. Requires coordination with Byte and Enterprise Tech Finance as well as HR. Prepare cause of change walks for quarterly forecast reviews
Billing and Inter-Company Cross-Charge (30%)
Partner with brand and tech leads to process inter-company billings for Byte products, with activities including: gathering and validating relevant billing-related metrics (e.g., digital transaction volumes, store counts), calculating billable amounts to invoice, and final invoicing and notification of relevant stakeholders AWS invoice processing and cost allocation across brands/functions Leverage automation to streamline processes, especially for new revenue streams
KPI/GA Reporting/Other (20%)
Support achievement of Yum D&T’s G&A target. Summarize insights and implications in presentations and other communications to leadership. Provide regular updates regarding headcount and cost trends by function (Product, Engineering, etc.), by product (eComm, Restaurant Tech, etc.), and by talent hub (U.S., India, etc.) Monthly reporting on active and vacant roles with commentary regarding new-hire, exit, and transfer activity, as well as any financial implications (e.g., vacancy impact) Monthly reporting on T&E, providing recommendations based on risk and opportunities as needed Month and Quarter close accrual support Ad-hoc strategic projects, requests and analysis (financial model development, variance and risk analyses, etc.)
Working Relationships
This position has direct 1:1 interaction with Yum D&T Finance (including divisional CFO), the Yum D&T LT, and other leaders across multiple functions (e.g., Product, UX, Engineering, Control, HR, Corporate Finance, and Brand Finance)
Experience/Skills
2 or more years of progressive corporate experience working with financial management; restaurant and/or SaaS industry, multi-national and/or financial planning experience is a plus Undergraduate degree from accredited 4-year university in Finance, Accounting or Business Management with knowledge of corporate financials (P&L, BS, CF) required; MBA/CPA/CMA/CFA a plus Growth mindset with high degree of self-motivation, initiative, integrity, and influencing style Demonstrated ability to effectively lead & coordinate tasks/projects generating actionable recommendations with and through cross-functional teams Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all layers of the organization Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality (employee-related expenses) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficient/Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Proficient/Advanced P&L modeling skills Experience with Hyperion, JD Edwards (ReportsNow Query Application) a plus Benefits
