Platform Science . Platform Science is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Part-Time Front Desk Contractor to join our team at our San Diego HQ. This role ensures a smooth, secure, and professional first impression for all visitors, employees, and contractors. This is a part-time schedule position (9:00am - 3:30pm as needed). Responsibilities
Reception and Guest Management: Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk, warmly welcoming and directing all visitors, candidates, and guests. Maintain a professional and clean reception area. Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and timely manner. Security and Access Control: Manage and facilitate access for employees who need access to the facility. Coordinate and issue temporary access credentials for contractors and long-term guests following established security protocols. Maintain accurate visitor logs and ensure all sign-in procedures are followed. Facilities Support: Act as a dedicated resource for the Site Facilities Professional, completing assigned tasks as necessary to support the operational needs of the office (e.g., mail sorting, inventory checks, light administrative support). Assist with setting up for internal meetings or events as requested. Experience
Proven experience in a customer service, administrative, or front desk/receptionist role, preferably in a corporate environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional demeanor. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., G Suite or Microsoft Office). Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. A proactive and helpful attitude with a strong commitment to service excellence. Must be reliable and punctual for all scheduled shifts. Compensation and Location
The estimated hourly rate for this role is between $22.00 and $28.00. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This posting reflects general target ranges for new hire base salaries across US locations. Policies and Compliance
