HRIS Analyst – UKG Pro (Payroll & Compliance Focus) About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced HRIS Analyst with deep expertise in UKG Pro to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong background in payroll systems configuration, process optimization, and California wage and hour laws. You will partner closely with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to build processes, identify discrepancies, and deliver compliant solutions that improve system performance and employee experience. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert for UKG Pro HRIS, including configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting. Build, optimize, and maintain system processes to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, payroll accruals, overpayments, and underpayments. Configure and monitor daily overtime, weekly overtime, and holiday pay calculations to ensure compliance with federal, state (especially California), and local regulations. Partner with Payroll and HR teams to design proactive auditing processes that detect errors before payroll runs. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and UKG support to resolve issues on both the customer side and solutions side. Generate, analyze, and distribute reports to identify trends, ensure compliance, and improve payroll accuracy. Support system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations related to payroll and compliance. Train HR, Payroll, and end-users on new processes, system updates, and reporting best practices. Qualifications:
3–5+ years of HRIS Analyst or Payroll Systems Analyst experience, with direct hands-on UKG Pro (UltiPro) expertise required. Strong knowledge of California wage and hour laws, including overtime, meal/rest breaks, and holiday pay. Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies, accruals, and pay errors. Proven ability to design system processes and reporting to improve payroll compliance and accuracy. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex data and create actionable insights. Excellent communication skills with experience working cross-functionally across HR, Payroll, and Finance. High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently. Preferred:
Experience in multi-state payroll compliance. Background in both customer-facing support and solution implementation. Location & Schedule:
Position based in Renton, WA Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 80 hours a year, 9 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave (Washington State).
