Position Summary The Human Resources Manager will oversee the general operations of the HR function and serve as a strategic partner to business leaders. This role will support both in-office and primarily remote employee populations across multiple time zones, covering both non-exempt and exempt employees. The HR Manager will implement and manage HR projects, support employee relations, and leverage technology to design and deploy efficient HR processes to improve organizational and HR effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Oversee and improve HR operations, including onboarding and offboarding (such as preparing severance packages), employee changes, compliance, and HRIS management.

Ensure maintenance of applicant application files and applicant flow logs; prepare and maintain accurate employee personnel files.

Maintain knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and technology in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Unemployment, Form I-9, EEO, AAP, ADA, ACA, OSHA, FLSA, Wage and Hour, FMLA, and other requirements.

Manage HR operations for accuracy, consistency, and efficiency; set objectives and track progress.

Monitor internal HR recordkeeping, systems, and databases; track key HR metrics and produce reports.

Coordinate the design and implementation of organizational and HR policies, job classification systems, and maintain the Employee Handbook.

Act as a consultant to managers and staff on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns.

Partner with leadership across the company to provide best practices, recommend HR process improvements, and implement system enhancements that improve HR offerings.

Facilitate leadership training and provide guidance to managers in addressing performance gaps, coaching, and development plans.

Provide training, advice, and guidance to management on employee relations issues, performance management, and engagement.

Explain available benefit programs, answer employee questions, and assist with enrollment processes.

Support employees and management across multiple time zones, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness for both in-office and primarily remote employee populations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum 5+ years of HR experience, preferably with multi-state locations.

SPHR or SHRM-CP strongly preferred.

Knowledge of HRIS systems and databases; ADP Workforce Now preferred.

Experience supporting both non-exempt and exempt employees, in-office and remote populations, and managing employee relations.
