Overview
The Admissions Counselor position within Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University’s (FranU) Office of Admissions plays a key role in advancing the enrollment goals and mission of the University. This individual will articulate FranU’s message to prospective students, their families, counselors, and other constituents. The role includes recruitment, outreach, travel, Admissions decision-making, and other specified Admissions projects and responsibilities. Responsibilities
Evaluate prospective students’ applications and academic histories Exercise independent decision-making aligned with institutional Admissions policies Analyze previously earned credits to determine transferability to FranU and impact on prospective students’ academic progression Develop and execute strategic Territory Management Plans Plan data-driven recruitment travel and select recruitment events such as college fairs, school visits, and information sessions Provide personalized guidance and counseling to prospective students and their families, assisting them through the college search, Admissions, and Financial Aid processes Implement targeted recruiting strategies and manage outreach via phone, e-mail, SMS, and digital platforms to maximize recruitment outcomes Maintain expert knowledge of FranU’s academic programs, policies, and value propositions and incorporate this into messaging Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create effective messaging and promotional materials aligned with enrollment goals Leverage CRM to manage recruitment data, track applicant interactions, process applications, and monitor outcomes Support planning and execution of on-campus Admissions events, campus tours, and group visits Initiate and manage special projects to improve recruitment processes, student engagement, and operational efficiencies within Admissions Qualifications
Experience: One (1) year of experience in Higher Education Admissions or Recruiting, preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree Special Skills: Ability to travel overnight and work non-standard hours; ability to lift up to 40 pounds Licensure: Valid Louisiana Driver’s License; if moving to Louisiana, a valid Louisiana Driver’s License is required within 30 days of start date Details
