Overview

The Sales Manager for the Southwest territory (Arizona, Colorado, Nevada) will identify and maintain strategic relationships with General Contractors, Developers, Consultants, and Property Owners. You will develop leads, manage projects, and work with Distech Controls’ System Integrator base and Acuity Brands Lighting Agency to drive growth across the market for large-scale buildings (one-million square feet or larger in the NYC metro context; responsibilities summarized for the Southwest region).

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop relationships with Consultants, General Contractors, Developers, and Property Owners.

Coordinate involvement of Company personnel to meet growth objectives.

Promote Distech in the market with Consulting Engineers and Architects.

Participate in local professional organizations and project management activities as needed.

Estimating and proposal writing.

Maintain accurate tracking of leads and opportunities in the CRM.

Accountabilities and Performance Measures

Achieve assigned sales quota in designated client accounts and meet profitability expectations.

Complete client account plans that meet company standards and maintain high client satisfaction.

Complete required training and development objectives within the specified time frame.

Influence across organizational levels and drive revenue growth and market share through innovative approaches.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Candidates should reside in or near Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO; or Las Vegas, NV and understand the local market. Existing relationships with GC, consultants, and developers are a plus.

Four-year degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years of HVAC and/or Building Automation System sales management experience.

Sales management experience in a B2B environment, partnering with Engineers and Architects.

Strong written, oral, and presentation skills; ability to multi-task and manage priorities.

Proficiency with MS Office; ability to navigate diverse stakeholders across the construction cycle.

Experience selling technically complex controls products through multiple distribution channels.

Job Requirements and Working Conditions

Some travel required; valid driver’s license and valid passport.

May require a home-based office arrangement.

Compensation

Base salary plus Sales Incentive Plan. The range for this position is $80,400.00 to $144,700.00, placement within the range varies by experience and location. Benefits include health care, dental, vision, 401(k), and commissions/incentive plans where applicable.
