Overview
Outside Sales Representative - Baltimore at The Home Depot Base pay range: $66,000.00/yr - $86,000.00/yr Position Purpose: The Outside Sales Representative (OSR) is responsible for driving incremental sales growth and profitability through account relationships, focusing on new business development. The OSR will monitor key performance indicators for assigned professional customers and meet or exceed financial performance to plan by working with the Regional Pro Sales Manager and Pro Sales Manager. OSRs review relevant Pro customer satisfaction results to understand customers' perspectives and use the information to drive local decisions and strategies to improve competitive position.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in district/regional meetings as needed. Communicate weekly activities with the Pro Sales Manager (10%).
Cultivate Net New Sales Relationships: Drive incremental sales growth by cultivating business relationships with assigned customer portfolios and prospecting to drive growth. Act as the daily contact with the Pro Account Expeditor to drive end-to-end quoting, ordering, and transaction experience. Represent The Home Depot Pro brand at local community events to drive new business. Sell all products and services available from the enterprise, including Commercial Credit options, Volume Pricing Program, delivery, will call pickup, and website ordering. Establish partnerships with customers by completing a minimum of 10 sales call appointments per week. Develop strategies to expand the customer base within the defined sales territory. Generate new account revenue in line with the organization through individual targets/quotas.
Customer Relationship Management: Use Salesforce to plan future sales call activity, manage ongoing customer communications, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Sales Prospecting: Conduct initial customer meetings, build relationships, and present the Home Depot value proposition to win opportunities to quote materials. Prospect for new business using leads from internal Sales Development as well as leads generated in the field via existing customer relationships, stores, and community networks.

Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Most of the time spent sitting or standing/walking with occasional lifting or handling of moderate-weight materials (8-20 pounds).

Typically in a comfortable environment with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes that may cause discomfort or moderate risk.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5 years of professional work experience
2 years account management / sales management experience
2+ years home improvement or home building industry experience
Successful professional growth in a fast-paced retail environment
Computer literacy with Microsoft Office programs
Ability to create and cultivate an active network of relationships inside and outside the organization
Ability to leverage relationships to achieve sales and profitability goals
Deep understanding of Pro customer needs with focus on fulfilling 100% of their product, credit, and performance requirements
Ability to tailor communications and customer-facing activities to how each customer prefers to be served
