This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing total rewards programs to ensure competitive, compliant, and culturally aligned benefits and compensation structures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in compensation analysis, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance, and will partner with leadership to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. Flexible (Hybrid or 100% Remote, Approved States) Compensation:
$95,000 - $125,000 annually (negotiable based on experience) Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage compensation and benefits programs that support organizational goals and employee engagement. Conduct salary benchmarking, market analysis, and compensation surveys to ensure competitive pay structures. Support the CHRO with annual compensation planning, including merit increases, bonus structures, and incentive plans. Manage benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, leave policies, etc.), ensuring competitive offerings and cost-effectiveness. Serve as the primary contact with benefit providers, brokers, and third-party vendors. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA). Partner with HR leadership to develop compensation strategies that align with performance management and talent development. Lead open enrollment and employee education efforts related to benefits programs. Provide guidance to employees and managers on compensation and benefits policies. Prepare and analyze compensation and benefits reports for leadership decision-making. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in total rewards programs. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of experience in benefits and compensation, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role preferred. Strong knowledge of compensation structures, market pricing, and job evaluation methods. In-depth understanding of benefits administration and compliance requirements. Analytical mindset with strong Excel and HRIS reporting skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to influence leaders and build trust across the organization. Professional certification (CCP, CBP, SHRM-CP/SCP, or CEBS) strongly preferred. Why Spheros Environmental?
