Compensation & Benefits Manager
to serve as the subject matter expert on total rewards strategy.
Job Description The Compensation & Benefits Manager will lead the design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs across the organization. This role will evaluate existing plans, ensure compliance with federal regulations (ERISA, ACA, FMLA, etc.), and provide recommendations to leadership on competitive and compliant total rewards strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead compensation and benefits strategy for 2,400 employees across 30+ subsidiaries
Serve as SME and advisor to HR leadership and business executives
Oversee open enrollment, vendor relationships, and compliance (ERISA, ACA, FMLA, etc.)
Design salary structures, incentive programs, and total rewards initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
7–10+ years of progressive HR experience in compensation and benefits
Prior ANC (Alaska Native Corporation) experience with multi-entity, multi-state subsidiaries
Experience in government contracting environments highly preferred
Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, FMLA, Equal Pay Act, FLSA, and related compliance regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experienced in HRIS/HR data management
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced HR certifications (CEBS, CCP, PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred
