Master Halco, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing and perimeter security products, is seeking an experienced Decking and Railing and Outdoor Structures Outside Sales Associate (DROSA). The Decking and Railing Outside Sales Associate is responsible for leading the charge to grow profitable sales of Decking, Railing and Outdoor Structures (DR&OS) within their assigned territory. The role focuses on growing sales by making face-to-face calls on current customers as well as prospecting for new business. Internally the DROSA must work with inside and outside salespeople along with managers to help lead, educate and support them in growing DR&OS sales as a dedicated salesforce multiplier for the team. Pay and Benefits : Base pay range $82,400.00/yr - $95,100.00/yr. Responsibilities
Conduct on-the-job training with coworkers to add value and serve customers Build long-lasting business relationships and sell products Utilize internal STEPS training program to create value for internal and external customers Become a STEPS program expert and lead/train Inside Sales teams using the program Ensure teammates are aware of all available sales tools and resources When opportunities arise to sell non-decking/railing and outdoor structures such as fencing, facilitate sales or hand off appropriately Accountabilities
Lead the way and achieve sales and margin goals for decking, railing, and outdoor structures for the designated branch location Expand and diversify the customer base Launch, grow, and expand product offerings to be a complete source for customers Work with managers to create and execute short- and long-term sales plans with measurable objectives Include market analysis and sales strategy development Make face-to-face sales calls with a customer-serving mindset, applying the STEPS program Provide hands-on product knowledge and value proposition training for associates and customers Provide sales support and product expertise to customers and Master Halco associates Develop relationships with additional internal and external resources when needed, including manufacturers and distributors Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or work equivalent Excellent face-to-face sales, training, and presentation skills for groups of varying sizes Driven and results-oriented Ability to support sales teams in new product expansion to meet company targets Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization Successful track record in selling into the building materials industry and home center/hardware stores preferred Experience in Decking, Railing, Outdoor Structures, Fencing, and/or Building Materials preferred Ability to travel overnight as needed Proficient with Internet software, sales/presentation software, Excel, and Word Valid Driver’s License Ability to travel within assigned territory up to 75% of the time Required Skills/Abilities
