Experience:
5-7 years of either consumer product counsel experience, or experience in providing legal advice related to online platforms or e-commerce.
Location:
Hybrid in San Jose or Los Angeles
Responsibilities
Work with legal and product teams globally to review products, features, and new initiatives to provide legal risk mitigation strategies to ensure legal compliance for TikTok Shop from a US legal perspective.
Coordinate with product, product operations, public policy, communications, and other cross-functional colleagues.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of TikTok Shop initiatives through legal review and providing guidance on relevant legal frameworks.
Review and analyze potential legal risks associated with new product developments and business strategies.
Assist in the development of internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
Provide legal support on a variety of e-commerce related matters.
Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and must be admitted, active, and in good standing with the state bar of California, or eligible to register as in-house counsel with the CA state bar.
5-7 years of either consumer product counsel experience, or experience in providing legal advice related to online platforms or e-commerce.
Experience with US consumer protection laws relevant to online marketplaces is preferred.
Pay Rate:
$100/hour
