$50.00/hr - $65.00/hr Responsibilities
Draft various discovery-related documents, including substantive responses and subpoenas. Collaborate with legal assistants to maintain organized case files. Manage e-discovery processes, including document collections, reviews, and production. Maintain accurate production logs and privilege logs. Prepare deposition tracking sheets and indices of deposition exhibits. Conduct Westlaw background checks, verdict searches and expert searches. Coordinate with firm administrative departments for logistical trial preparation. Prepare exhibit and witness lists. Prepare witness binders and indices of deposition exhibits with corresponding trial exhibit numbers. Display exhibits at trials and arbitrations using OnCue. Ensure knowledge and compliance with pre-trial submissions to the court, including local rules, department rules, and motion in limine procedures. Handle Final Status Conference submissions to the court. Trial responsibilities include attendance with flexibility for late-night hours and early mornings; manage trial binders and understand courtroom procedures; lodge trial transcripts; track and document exhibits admitted at trial; monitor trial time; coordinate with vendors, hotel staff, drivers, food orders and deliveries, and printing vendors. Desired Candidate
A minimum of eight-ten years of experience in a paralegal role, with a focus on trial support. Experience with e-discovery, ideally with Disco. Strong knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate sound judgment in resolving complex matters and the ability to analyze diverse sources of information to solve problems. Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse group of individuals, from support staff to senior business leaders.
