Overview
The Legal Recruiting Manager at Matura Farrington is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Corporate / Real Estate Legal Assistant to support a Managing Partner of a general practice firm in the Pasadena area. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in business and/or real estate transactional support, with experience as a legal assistant or paralegal. Expertise in at least one of the following areas is preferred: Mergers & Acquisitions Equity offerings Secured financing transactions Real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and closings Commercial leasing Title review This is a hybrid administrative and paralegal position involving both billable and non-billable work. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, adaptable, and motivated to grow their knowledge across a wide range of transactional matters. Responsibilities
Administrative / Executive Support: Draft, proofread, edit, and finalize legal and business documents Prepare and revise correspondence, memoranda, engagement letters, conflict waivers, and other legal communications Correct formatting issues and ensure documents adhere to firm standards Scan, photocopy, and distribute documents via mail or email as requested Organize and maintain both electronic and physical client files Open new matters, initiate conflict checks, and manage file setup Maintain CLE records and certificates for attorneys Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and prepare client meeting materials Enter deadlines into the firm’s calendaring system and monitor for compliance Coordinate conference calls, meetings, and travel arrangements Prepare and submit travel expense reports and reimbursement requests Update and manage attorney contact databases Open and review mail; direct and distribute as appropriate Enter and revise attorney time entries in the billing system; distribute invoices and collaborate with Accounting on billing matters Communicate directly with clients as needed or requested by attorneys Create and finalize presentation materials for webinars, seminars, and internal training Provide assistance to other legal assistants during high-volume periods Assist with after-hours work when required Corporate and Real Estate Transactional Support: Assist in preparing, organizing, and revising drafts of legal documents related to corporate transactions and real estate matters Support attorneys with due diligence, closings, and other transactional processes Coordinate and manage the collection and organization of legal documentation Conduct title review and manage communication with title companies Help prepare closing checklists, signature packets, and closing binders Qualifications
Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department supporting transactional matters Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities in unfamiliar legal areas Salary: $85k - $95k+ depending on years of experience Matura Farrington is an
