Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. In this pivotal role, you will be a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, aligning business objectives with HR best practices to foster a positive and productive work environment. Responsibilities
Strategic Partner: Collaborate with leaders to understand business direction and develop HR plans that support departmental needs, address weaknesses, and capitalize on opportunities. Employee Relations Expert: Serve as a resource to employees and management, proactively addressing concerns and facilitating equitable resolutions. Labor Relations Advocate: Provide guidance on policy interpretation and collective bargaining agreements, working closely with our Employee/Labor Relations COE. Performance & Leadership Coach: Offer advice, feedback, and development to improve the effectiveness of leaders and their teams. Change Champion: Drive HR initiatives and programs, partnering with the HR team and COEs to deliver value-added services. Education : Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3 years HR or leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years HR or leadership experience in the discipline OR Master's Degree (With relevant experience; equivalent education and/or experience; experience through certifications.) Experience: HR experience should encompass generalist experience or at least 2 or more areas of specialty, e.g., compensation, benefits, employee/labor relations, talent acquisition, etc. Knowledge: Demonstrated employee relations experience with a working knowledge of recruitment, training delivery, benefits and compensation theory/administration. Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification. Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive results. Industry Context
