The Endocrinology APP Supervisor oversees 7 APPs across two campus locations. Focus is on inpatient and outpatient endocrinology, with the majority of time spent in the outpatient setting. Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of the designated unit(s), providing guidance and support to allied health clinical staff and practice support staff. Ensure a high level of patient-focused care and quality service is delivered. Provide clinical services in ambulatory clinic settings greater than 50% of the time, including primary and specialty-specific care, assessment and management of common acute and chronic illnesses, referrals, and collaboration with physicians and the health care team. Involve patient and family education on disease management and treatments; may participate in research or educational activities within the department. Combine nursing care with medical care, focusing on the patient as a whole person; perform comprehensive assessment, order and interpret diagnostics, and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies. Qualifications
New grads will not be considered. Experience in Endocrine is required. Nurse Practitioner:
Masters-prepared, current AZ RN and APRN license, and certification as a FNP, ANP. Physician Assistant:
Graduated from an accredited PA program with current NCCPA certification and AZ State Board registration. Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date; DEA registration required. Two to five years of clinical experience preferred; primary care, acute care, and/or surgical experience desirable. Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills; ability to manage time and stress; flexible to meet patient and staff needs; adaptable to unpredictable patient care situations. Exempt Compensation: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when offers are extended.
