Physician Support Informaticist 2 - Central (H)

Health System (UHealth). This is a full-time onsite position at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Main Campus, Miami. The Physician Support Informaticist 2 - Central provides one-on-one post-training support to providers/physicians on Epic UChart applications/modules across service lines, addresses end-user problems with clinical information systems, documents and routes issues to the appropriate UHIT team, and communicates resolutions to relevant stakeholders. Core Responsibilities

Performs periodic rounding to identify provider and physician issues in ambulatory care and clinic settings. Partners with Informatics and IT leadership to develop and implement an issue resolution plan (e.g., open, track, and resolve IT tickets with UChart analysts). Travels to University of Miami Health System satellite locations and provides support during go-lives. Advocates for provider and physician needs by identifying and documenting system optimization opportunities and following through on improvements to implementation. Analyzes new releases to determine impact on provider and physician workflow. Participates in or facilitates end-user sessions to prioritize and confirm changes to be implemented. Collaborates with trainers on system changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies. Participates in on-call rotations and provides support. Maintains regular communication with team members and participates in weekly project team meetings. Reviews project and issue status with leadership. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and safeguards University assets. Department Specific Functions

Provides onsite support at one of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute UHealth locations; Main Campus. Optimize/workflows for Future State: drive process-driven technology and reduce system and process variability by harmonizing workflows. Role in implementations and upgrades: focus on workflow design, validation testing, user acceptance testing, change management, training, policy, roles, and end-user adoption. Review current state workflows and workstreams to identify opportunities to harmonize system-wide workflows and advocate for physicians’ needs. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Epic Certification in at least one core module. Proficiency in one or more Epic specialty modules (e.g., Radiant, Beacon, OpTime or Kaleidoscope; Bascom-specific application). Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical operations, Hospital IT or healthcare vendor roles, primarily with physician groups providing ATE support during Go Live. Vendor/Consulting experience preferred. Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands. Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
