Overview The Medical Oncology Clinic provides care to hematologic and solid tumor malignancies. This role supports both the healthcare team and patients. Patients with a solid tumor diagnosis are seen and treated in the Viragh Building. Patients with hematologic malignancies are seen and treated in the Weinberg Building.

Clinical Technicians

at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.

Responsibilities Support the healthcare team and patients as part of the clinical technician role within the Medical Oncology Clinic. Provide patient- and family-centered care and participate in ongoing education and training to maintain high standards of certification and practice.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required

1 year of acute care (hospital) tech experience

BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted

Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
