Position Title: Playground/Cafeteria Monitor
Hourly Rate:
$15/hour
Schedule:
2 hours per day at Prairie Trails School
Job Details Reports To:
Building Principal; feedback from Director of Foodservice
Job Goal:
To supervise students during recess and lunch, and support the Foodservice Employee
Qualifications
Ability to manage large groups of children and maintain order
Must be able to see, hear, speak, type, and write English clearly
Ability to work cooperatively with other staff
Must obtain a food handler's license per health regulations
Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling for extended periods
Lifting and moving 45 pounds
Work may occur in hot, cold, or damp environments
Performance Responsibilities
Report to work on time and demonstrate reliable attendance
Respond promptly to communications
Supervise children positively in lunchroom, hallways, playground, and indoor recess
Communicate inappropriate behavior to teachers or administration
Assist in serving lunch, selling milk, and maintaining supplies
Remain vigilant during supervision
Clean and disinfect tables and chairs after lunch
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
Follow health and safety procedures
Participate in training programs
Perform additional duties as assigned
Terms of Employment Contingent upon Board approval. Salary and work year are determined by the Negotiated Agreement between RTEA and the Board of Education.
