The Opportunity: Our Measurement Services team in Houston, Texas is seeking a Business Analyst to provide gas quality support across Field Operations, Gas Control, Commercial, and Engineering. This role supports a team responsible for analyzing measurement and gas quality data daily. The position requires the ability to work in a collaborative team environment with shared responsibilities, supporting the team and the Company’s objectives. Responsibilities
Daily evaluation, processing and review of measurement and gas quality reporting used in the calculation of physically metered volume and energy quantities Work with internal and external customers as well as interconnecting operators to gather information for resolving issues Routinely provide written documentation for new and/or revised department processes and procedures Investigate issues that are causing LAUF and address them Demonstrate attention to detail and understanding of technical matters Develop and maintain excellent customer service standards, confidentiality, and working relationships with producers, connecting operators, and field operations Meet daily and monthly deadlines with organization and record keeping Other tasks as required Position may require occasional travel and extended workdays to support monthly close deadlines, meetings, and trainings Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is required with a concentration in Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business 2-4 years of related work experience within Gas Quality, Measurement, Field Operations, or Gas Control; other combinations of education and experience may be considered Preferred Qualifications
5 years of Natural Gas Pipeline Experience Experience with gas measurement software applications or equipment Some experience or knowledge of SCADA systems and flows Knowledge of NAESB, FERC, PHMSA, and EPA Skillset developing reports/dashboards/deliverables utilizing Microsoft Access or Power BI Desktop Additional Information
This position requires candidates to successfully complete pre-employment screening Travel to other company locations for meetings or training may be required (estimated up to 2-3 trips per year) Hybrid work model and flexible dress code for eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico About Our Business
