Information System Security Officer (ISSO) - McKinney, TX Location: McKinney, TX. Onsite. U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable U.S. government security clearance are required prior to start date. Secret clearance currently on file. Position status: Onsite at Raytheon facility in McKinney, Texas. The role supports adherence to NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM, and JSIG policies. What You Will Do
Primarily responsible for system compliance, auditing, security plan development, and delivering information systems security education and awareness. Assist in investigating information system security violations and help prepare reports with corrective and preventative actions. Collaborate with the facility security team, program personnel, and government representatives. Security sustainment activities (hardware change management, software change management, account management, media protection, user interface, file transfers, etc.). Important note:
Within six months of hire date, you must obtain and maintain a security professional certification commensurate with IAM Level I (Security+ or equivalent) if you do not already have this certification. Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field. Relevant Experience Considered in any combination: Cybersecurity, systems security or hardening Information Technology Compliance-based auditing using RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, NISPOM, and other regulations (e.g., FAA, PCI, ISO 9001, HIPAA) Experience with computer technologies (databases, operating systems, network hardware, software, hardware troubleshooting, or electronics) Physical security, investigations, or related fields Project or program management, office management, or account management Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in DoD classified operating and/or laboratory environments Familiarity with RMF and compliance per NISPOM/DAAPM, JSIG, ICD 503, STIGs and related NIST publications Experience with audit reviews (physical security, network/system logs, access control, etc.) Familiarity with cyber incident response and containment Ability to work independently and in a team; strong written and verbal communication skills Customer-focused, adaptable, and able to handle varying assignments Completion of National Industrial Security Program cybersecurity training courses (link provided in original posting) What We Offer
