Senior Project Architect at DesignGroup. Role focused on leading and inspiring project teams to deliver mid-to-large scale healthcare projects. Requires a blend of technical expertise and creative vision, with strong communication and collaboration skills to manage multiple responsibilities, guide junior staff, present design concepts, and represent the firm to clients. Responsibilities
Serve as the technical leader of a project team, collaborating with the Project Manager, clients, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to translate design intent into construction documents. Interpret client briefs, prepare designs, and plan projects, prioritizing aesthetic and functional considerations. Oversee and coordinate the work of junior staff, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Maintain construction progress records, oversee project documents, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Represent the firm in client meetings, present new design concepts, and lead owner/user meetings during the Design Development phase. Mentor new architects, assisting them in refining design skills and expanding industry knowledge. Work with project team members to deliver and execute project designs; identify objectives, develop options, and create innovative on-site solutions. Direct and oversee work coordination among team members and consultants; collaborate with the Project Designer, Interior Designer, and Planner to develop construction documents. Ensure all technical requirements are met and conduct thorough quality reviews; lead code reviews and coordinate with code officials for approvals. Manage tasks related to Construction Administration and approve shop drawings; maintain strong relationships with clients and consultants to facilitate project progression and successful outcomes. Qualifications
Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's preferred. Experience: At least 10 years of architectural experience with a focus on mid-to-large scale healthcare projects. Expertise: Proven track record in Construction Administration and technical knowledge of healthcare environments. Leadership: Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide teams toward exceptional design solutions. Communication: Excellent communication skills for managing projects and maintaining client/consultant relationships. Software: Proficiency with CAD, REVIT, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Microsoft Word & Excel. Licensure: Registered Architect required. Details
