Overview
Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is the ultimate night out, with its integration of premiere music, 19 lanes of bowling, a bar featuring locally crafted beers, and food by the Blue Ribbon restaurant group. The Security Officer is responsible to perform protective, preventative, safety and security related functions to ensure the safety and well-being of customers, visitors, and staff. They will implement and monitor all security operations in accordance with applicable laws and company policies in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances and threats. Responsibilities
Observe and report all activity occurring in the assigned area Provide guests with directions and assistance Escort venue entertainment/officials when transporting React promptly to all disturbances throughout the venue Ensure guest and employee safety while on Brooklyn Bowl premises Check guest identification upon entry to the venue Inspect every guest to ensure no weapons or harmful items enter the venue Safeguard against theft and property damage Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals and flashlights Remain in constant contact throughout shift Provide assistance at crime, injury, etc. scenes to employees, guests and local law enforcement Maintain knowledge of state entertainment and alcohol regulations Enforce and follow procedures in emergency situations Work as part of a team to provide the best overall guest experience Maintain a professional appearance, uniform and manner at all times Control access of employees and/or visitors Respond to intrusion, fire and health/safety related incidents Enforce policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices Greet staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Coordinate with police, fire and emergency medical personnel Other duties as may be required by the contract Qualifications
High School diploma or GED Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers in English Valid Tennessee Security License required Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, live entertainment venue preferred Ability to quickly learn the facility layout, function rooms, and some knowledge of local area Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Physical Qualifications
Standing, walking or sitting and performing essential job functions for the duration of shift Bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances Moving throughout the venue during the shift Walking 3–5 miles per shift for patrol Ability to lift and carry up to 150–170 pounds in emergencies Using security tools and keys; verbal communication for two-way radio and telephone Completing detailed paperwork, security observation and inspection Working in an environment with loud music and crowds for extended periods Must be able to stand or remain stationary for the entire shift The physical qualifications listed are general requirements; actual exertion level and frequency can vary depending on tasks.
