Our client is seeking a Database Administrator to join their team! This position is located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Duties
Analyze, tune, and optimize database performance, including query analysis, indexing, and partitioning strategies Perform regular maintenance, such as backups, restores, upgrades, and patching, to ensure database health and security Design, implement, and manage HA/DR solutions to ensure continuous operation and data recoverability Design and implement database schemas, partitioning, and indexing strategies for efficient data management Monitor and manage database security, responding to security alerts and ensuring data integrity Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate routine tasks and processes Desired Skills/Experience
Experience in the setup and maintenance of database systems within client/server environments Skilled in creating tablespace areas, tables, and views, and in performing logical and physical database design Knowledgeable in database monitoring, performance tuning, and maintenance procedures Experience with clustering and high-availability technology solutions Proficient in integrating databases with client/server and Java programming environments Strong understanding of the internals of large-scale client/server operating systems Benefits/Notes
